20th World of Nations Celebration African Village May 3 - 6, 2012
North Florida's largest multi-cultural festival, featuring Jacksonville, Florida's diverse community since 1993. The four/day festival in Metropolitan Park is held annually in early May. The celebration host over 75,000 visitors, including 12,000 children on school field trips Thursday and Friday. Divine Mother's Day Celebration May 13, 2012 Mother's Day Weekend This event has been held at Historic American Beach for the past 20 years. The Yoruba community of NE Florida, hosts the event which celebrates the divinities which represents the feminine and nurturance. The celebration begins on Saturday with camping out overnight on the beach. Then Sunday highlights the celebration with traditional Yoruba drumming and dancing. Contact us for more information.

Fourth Sunday in September Music Vendors Friends Fun!! The Uniontown Footwash celebration and festival. It seems from people’s experiences that there are two different footwashes to attend. The first is the daytime wash when it focuses mainly on food, arts, wares and music. The second wash begins at night... North Florida Kwanzaa Celebration - Food Music Dancing... come join the celebration! Bring 3 people to all events and fruit for the Kwanzaa display. Each day during the celebration a different venue holds activities that represent the day's principle. Their are seven principles, Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self Determination), Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), Ujammaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith).
