OLORUN
- A Journey to
Africa Through Songs and Stories
Olorun is a West African ensemble whose performance
highlights traditional West African culture. Olorun's
presentation is a wonderful blend of music chants,
call-response singing and
narration. In the course of the concert, the audience
will learn
about authentic African customs, history, musical
instruments, masquerades and legends, dispelling
commonly held myths. The musicians and singers are
dressed in traditional West African costumes and use a
variety of handcrafted acoustic instruments. Audience
response is encouraged. Contact

“Olorun, what a wonderful way go begin our event with
remembering our ancestors … sometimes we forget where
we come from.” Susan Taylor, Editorial Director,
